  1. i would say yes they have a great team

  2. England will do well to reach the quarter finals this time.  There are too many better sides in this tournament.  France, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

  3. Very unlikely, having watched all three games today, the overall performance of the day has to go to Oz. Without doubt the Kiwis stormed out the blocks, and by the time the Italians woke up, it was all over.

The Aussies secured the game in the first half, and in the second they came out to play aggressive open rugby, and it was brilliant to watch.

What I have liked so far is how the neutrals in the crowds have got behind the underdogs and supported them wholeheartedly.

If possible, I foresee an Aussie/ Kiwi final, as the French choked last night to the Pumas.

  4. USA played very well. England hand their hands full. But I think it was more a case of the Yanks playing well rather than the Poms playing badly.

A great work out for for the Poms before RSA - that's going to be a massive game. Lets hope JW is back on deck, although I think Ollie Berkley did  well. And the new number 7 for England was great.

  5. A donkey's chance in the Grand National.

  6. This thread should be moved to the joke section ..

England on that performance against the USA are a better chance of going out in pool play than retaining the World Cup ..

They will be lucky to finish secound in their pool .

  7. doubtful. england is a great team, but theres some real workers gunning for them. i would give them (MAYBE) 1/6 on keeping it.

(side note: women who know rugby, just the hottest thing ever.)

  8. Amateur performance. Lucky to make semi's. Very unlikely to retain the title.

  9. It was pathetic. They should have beaten the USA by about 70 or 80 points. I'm sad to say that they don't have a hope of winning the title again (and its very seldom I'm sad to say anything).

Looks like I'll have to start supporting New Zealand when England go out.

  10. england should of really beaten usa by atleast 30 point s with the track record of the two teams england is a team of has beens and the  usa played really well and deserved more brilliant efort until the spear at the end

  11. Today was not a good performance and I wonder why people are suprised.  All games we play are never a 'dead cert' and we scrape by on more occassions than I care to remember.

That being said we can step up to the plate when needed, we don't always, but we can.

As such I reserved judgement until the SA game.  That will tell and the team need to stop talking the talk and step up and do the business.  I'm not full of hope but I do believe in the ability for the team to 'dig out blind'  We can do it and how's about the Country getting behind them.

    Good luck England

  12. hahahahahahaha.......not very likely, they'll be lucky to make it out of the pool if they dont wake up, they were expected to put 60 points on the US and in the end it was 28-10, didnt even get a bonus point

  13. America should win IMO

  14. I didn't think we held the cup?

  15. Sorry, this question is in the wrong section.

England? Retain the World Cup? Now that IS a joke!

I have seen seven year olds play better rugby than England did this afternoon.
