Continued from Part 1..
Dhoni’s composure has ultimately become his greatest weakness, where people who used to laud it earlier are now holding it responsible for India’s humiliation. His may be the right man to lead the side, but terming defeats to factors out of his reach cannot
earn him respect.
If his CV has the ultimate high of a World Cup triumph, ICC’s no.1 Test ranking and a T20 trophy, it has significant failures of back-to-back away whitewashes, and an embarrassing defeat at home, which came after his side had led the series 1-0.
The loss hardly matters; it is the manner of that loss which clearly depicts the problem at large. Calling for turning tracks is no sin, but expecting pitches to do the trick is spreading it a little thin. One has to be prepared for tough times, but India
for the best part of the past 18 months, always seemed to lack sincere motivation.
The Kolkata defeat remained the pivotal point. When the going gets tough, it is the Eden Gardens venue that helps the Men in Blue redeem themselves, but even that venue could not inspire the team as the English took complete control.
It is further fair to say that India to do not have better alternatives,  a problem which has clearly allowed the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 duo remains a destructive force in cricket but the two openers fall
short of their true potential. Sehwag’s problem is unknown to the general public because he is a pleasure to watch when in full flow.
However, it is clear that he does not value his wicket – not a big secret – which indeed makes the coaching staff go nuts. He is further being picked by many, including his skipper, as a slow mover on the field of cricket, which is another aspect that needs
to be carefully addressed in due course.
As for Gambhir, he certainly possesses the character to lead the side, but that largely affects his perception about himself. He has not scored a Test century since 2010, and for a quality player, that is a too long a span.
The bowling department has its own limitations. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/I-Sharma-c1566 needs to add an extra something to his bowling to become a mainstay for the national team.
The pool of spinners is large, but the intimidating factor is missing. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/PP-Ojha-c2198 are best, is going overboard.
Therefore it is time for BCCI to make the headlines for all the right reasons. Setting aside their personal ventures, they need to re-shape the structure of the national team as they will always be the most followed cricket team. However, to see them perform
below their standards, and deprive the fans of the quality of cricket they are capable of producing is quite disappointing..  Drastic measures are needed, and though the process could be slow, it is the eventual success at the international level that will
create their legacy.
