England tour of Sri Lanka: Lankans will have to work hard in the next two days says coach Graham Ford – Cricket News Update
The Sri Lankan cricket team coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Graham-Xavier-Ford-c60657, has admitted that the last two days of the Colombo Test against England will be tough for his side. The Lankans will have to put in a great effort if they want to salvage a draw or
win the second Test match.
England dominated day three of the second Test match and put the pressure right back on the Sri Lankan team, who are leading the two match series 1-0.
Speaking to media personals at the close of play, Ford said, “Pressure's pretty crucial in the game of cricket and England eased the pressure by the solid start they had. After that they ended up putting pressure on us. The next
two days we've got a lot of hard work to do. We have to get out and bat session for session.”

However, according to the Lankan coach it was the master innings of the English middle-order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806, which shifted the balance of the game in favour of England. It was Pietersen’s innings of 151 runs that was the
difference between the two sides.
“If you look at it realistically Kevin Pietersen's knock was the difference, he was absolutely superb,” said Ford. “We had one little half chance before lunch when he got an inside edge to one of Dilshan's deliveries. Had it gone
to hand we might not have been as far behind in the game as we are right now.”
At stumps on day three, Sri Lanka had piled four runs while they still trailed by another 181 runs with all 10 wickets in hand. The coach of the Lankan http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 knows that the English bowlers will come hard at them on day four but he
was confident that his batters will handle the situation.
The fourth day of Colombo Test starts at 04:30 GMT, and it will be an important day for Sri Lanka.
