Aided by Steven Finn’s early assault, and supporting performances by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 succeeded in restricting Australia to 86 for 4 by the end of the 30th over during the 4th ODI of the ongoing 5–match series, currently
being played at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street today on July 7.
Today’s match affords England the chance to claim a series sweep – the hosts won the first two matches of the series, with the third having been abandoned due to rain.
England won the toss and elected to bowl first, going in with the additions of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Samit-Patel-c2426 (who
will be stepping in to replace http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501, as he recovers from an elbow injury).
Australia also made two adjustments to their squad, bringing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Pattinson-c1653.

lbw, on the very next delivery.
Australia were at the unenviable position of 6 for 2 when skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 stepped up to the crease. The 31-year-old managed to provide some stability to his side, scoring an as yet unbeaten 36, in addition to establishing a 3rd-wicket 51-run
stand with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Watson-c96326.
Their partnership got the Aussies up to 57, but came to a sudden end with the dismissal of Watson by Bresnan in the 19th over. He was followed to the crease by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/George-Bailey-c1480, who as sent back to the pavilion by Bopara in the 22nd over,
after a contribution of a mere 9 runs.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 has managed to get their side up to 86 by the end of the 30th over, at the expense of 4 wickets. The Aussies will
be banking on the duo of Hussey and Clarke to bring their innings back on track, as they look to avoid yet another defeat at the hands of arch-rivals England.
