England v India – 2nd Test – English bowlers to watch out for
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in the second Test of the four-match series at Nottingham on July 29, 2011. Andrew Strauss and company are currently leading the series 1-0 after their memorable triumph in the Lord’s Test by 196 runs.
Before the series started, majority of the cricket analysts around the world were off the opinion that India has a stronger batting line-up as compared to the English one, whereas, the English bowling attack is far superior to their Indian
counterparts. However, the home team looked a much better unit in all the three departments of the game than India.
Some of the cricket pundits thought that the English bowlers will find it really hard to get the 20 Indian wickets but they did a splended job in the first Test. Some of the English bowlers to watch out for, in the second Test, are:

Anderson has been the spearhead of the English bowling attack since the last couple of years and he has done exceedingly well, especially in the longer format of the game. He picked up only two scalps in the first innings at Lord’s but
came back in style in the second innings and picked up a five-wicket haul to help his team win the 2000th Test in the history of the game.
He is excited about the upcoming matches and is pumped up to dismantle the great Indian batsmen. The most important part about Anderson’s bowling is his length and the ability to move the ball in the air and off the pitch.

The right-arm fast bowler was under a lot of criticism before the series against India as he had a poor time against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in the Test series. However, the lanky fast bowler, given another opportunity by the English selectors, bounced
back in style in the Lord’s Test.
Broad picked up seven wickets in the match and all of them were crucial scalps. He was also a little unlucky as a couple of the decisions went against him in the second innings. Apart from his seven wickets, Broad scored a vital half-century
in the second innings to put his team out of a hole on day four.

The off-spinner could not play a huge part in the English victory at Lord’s but he did claim a couple of crucial scalps. Swann has been http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964’s trump card since the last couple of years and he always comes good when his team needs
him the most. The pitch at Nottingham is expected to offer some spin to the bowlers on the fourth and the fifth day, which means that the English off-spinner could be very handy in the second innings.
All in all, it is going to be a huge test of character for the English bowlers to bowl out India twice once again in the series.
