England v India- 3rd nPower Test, Edgbaston - Indian Bowlers to watch out for
The 3rd outing of the nPower Test series begins today August 10, 2011, between England and India, with plenty at stake, most importantly, the top Spot in Test Cricket.
The preparations have somehow been overshadowed by the riots that have spread across England, which has hindered the teams work-out ahead of a crucial encounter.
However, the match is scheduled to go ahead as planned, with the England side having their sights set on the number one spot.
In order to save their supremacy, Dhoni and his men will have to step up and demonstrate their true potential. Though it is a tough ask, one must not underestimate the World Champions, who welcome back the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739 and RP Singh in the side.
The bowlers will need to stand up and give a good account of themselves and get 20 wickets of a side, which have strength and depth in a batting line-up which stretches out to the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711.
RP Singh
It is certainly a gamble on the management’s part to include http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757.
However, the main argument that goes in favour of the 25-year-old is his track record on English soil. When India last toured England in 2007, Singh, along with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Z-Khan-c98379 (the man he replaced on this tour), was effective enough to guide their team to
a 1-0 series win.
In 13 Test matches, he has taken 40 wickets at an average of 39.10. He will be hoping that he is in the playing XI come Day 1, and will look to cement his place in the side.

The pacer has certainly risen through the ranks after good showing in the first two test matches. He has bowled quickly while also causing great deal of trouble for the English opposition.
Dhoni has to be careful in handling the seamer, who has bowled plenty of overs in the series so far. The 22-year-old has taken 9 wickets, with the best of 4-49. He will most likely be opening the attack for the side, and will look to make early inroads to
a potent batting line-up.

A bowler who has his limitations, Praveen has been a consistent performer for the Indian domestic and ODI setup. However, injuries to key players meant that he was selected for the recent tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, where he fully used the opportunity to strengthen
his place in the side.
Though predominantly a medium-pacer, he can swing the ball either way and has the uncanny knack of taking wickets. In 5 test matches, he has already scooped up 25 wickets, at a healthy average of 23.96.
Sreesanth
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/S-Sreesanth-c2398 has been plagued with injuries throughout his career. However, his continued selection in the team reflects the faith of the selectors in a bowler who has the ability to win matches on his own. He will be looking to better his Test bowling average
of 35.59, when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 square out with England at Edgbaston.
As for the spinning options, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Harbhajan-Singh-c61453, was ruled out of the tour, with an abdominal strain. Both have limited experience at the International level and it will be up to the Indian skipper
to pick either one of the two, or go out with a four pacer seam attack.
