  1. England Vs South Africa has beome a lot more interesting over the last couple of years, Because of KP Betraying South Africa.

Anyway, I think South Africa will win either 2-0 or 2-1.

South Africa has a better batting lineup and the best pace attack in the world. However South Africa hasnt got a good spinner, in which england has. If England does win, then Monty will have to have a big influence on this series.

Moreover a year ago, india won against england in england 1-0, And that indian side didnt Have Sehwag, Bhaji and Ishant Sharma. And Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were not in good form, and yet they still won. So from that i can conclude that South Africa will win.

  2. SA will win

  3. I think it'll be a h**l of a lot more competitive than the England / New Zealand series that's for sure but I think England will struggle to overcome a powerful South African team.

England's batting line up is fragile with the middle order performing especially badly and inconsistently. They've struggled against a weak NZ team so they will seriously need to up their game if they want to compete on any level. They'll need players like Bell, Collingwood, Vaughan and even Pietersen to be at the top of their game. Compared to this SA are already there in the batting department, they've all been getting runs in the warm up games and most perform well and consistently in the international arena. They have a lot of talent with the likes of Kallis, Smith, McKenzie, Amla and Prince performing particularly well. And they have Boucher, currently the world’s best wicket keeper, in their midst. We have Tim Ambrose, Mr. Calamity himself who’s batting and catching leaves a lot to be desired.

The England bowling line up lacks any kind of serious pace (with most of England’s pace bowlers averaging in the mid to low 80s [I think]). And they can be a little wayward with their deliveries. I agree with The oracle, the bowling attack has only performed well in patches. They need to concentrate on hitting the right areas to make any inroads. I guess one thing in favour for the England attack is the fact that they have a spinner whereas SA prefer not to use one. If Panasar plays well then he could do a lot of damage. But SA’s bowling attack is incredibly good and are also playing well.

England will definitely have a hard series on their hands but I hope they make it a competitive one.

  4. South Africa have a strong, settled, in-form batting line up. Ditto their bowling line-up. And they have a long resolved wicketkeeping berth.

England have an inconsistent batting line-up, a fragile bowling unit that has only really perfomed in patches against one of the weaker nations, and a wicketkeeping position that is constantly in a state of flux.

So how will the series go?

Optimistically, the weather conditions I am experiencing right now (heavy rain showers) will follow the Test series around, and it will be 0-0.

I have a horrible feeling there will be yet another inquest into the state of English cricket at the end of the season.

Or, England will rise to the occasion, prove they are not as rubbish as we all (overtly or covertly) believe them to be, and it will be a tight series finsihing two apiece.

  6. The competition has been fairly good in the past whenever these two teams face each other. English team is very good in tests. Proteas have a strong batting. England too have a good batting order but difference seems to be the bowling that South African team has got better which makes South African batting more stronger if we consider the quality of attack each team will face. I think test series will be a draw. ODI series to South Africa.

  7. As far as i am concerned, South africa will easily win the one day series. But in tests, they will be tested. But south africa may have the upper hand.

  8. I think SA can win Test series, but in ODI`s it will be great contest.

  9. I think that it could be a close contest but right now SA look the stronger team on current form but England at home are very hard to beat I think the one day series SA will win pretty easy we are a very good odi team and england have a few problems there but the test series should be a very close thing as a South African obviously I think SA will win but England have a good enough team to give the South Africans a hard time it all depends on how the SA batsmen play the swing and how our bowlers adapt to conditions especially at lords with the slope because Steyn and Morkel are pretty new  but all in all it should be a very good test series which I both predict and hope SA will win
