A number of English players have claimed recently that they are the best Test playing team at the moment and very soon they will achieve the top ranking in the longer version of the sport.
However, Jayawardene does not completely agree with them and said that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 are the best team at home but they have to answer a lot of questions in the Subcontinent.
The former captain said, “I think England, in their home conditions, is the best Test playing nation. They’ve played really good cricket. I think England hasn’t competed that well in the sub-continent. It’s the one thing they haven’t conquered”.
Recently, England captain, Andrew Strauss, also said that he is taking things as they come but claimed that the target of his team is to be the best for a long period of time. He also vowed to beat Sri Lanka in the last Test to clinch the series 2-0.
