The interim coach of Sri Lankan cricket team, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Stuart-Grant-Law-c91460, is hopeful that Tillakaratne Dilshan will be fit for the One Day leg of the ongoing England tour, starting on Tuesday, June 28 at the Oval.
The interim coach was not sure about Dilshan’s comeback in Saturday’s one-off Twenty20 international against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013.
However, he was confident the Lankan captain will be completely fit to take the reins in the five-match One Day International series starting next week.
"Maybe the Twenty20 international will be too soon", said Law, while talking to the media reporters. "But I would expect him to feature in the One Day series. He is not 100 per cent yet but he is getting there", he added further.
Dilshan missed the drawn http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KC-Sangakkara-c1779, stood in for him. Dilshan picked up the thumb injury during the second Test at Lord’s where he played a record 193-run innings.

Dilshan also missed the tour game against Worcestershire at New Road, where the visitors were led by the middle-order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sahan-Hewa-Thilina-Kandamby-c87923. The visitors won the warm up game by 57 runs.
Law was satisfied with the team’s performance in the tour game against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Worcestershire-c866. However, he did opine that there are plenty of areas to be addressed.
"The batting was up to par and we played as well as we possibly can and a couple of guys got hits who haven't been here”, said the Lankan coach. “In the end it's a win but we have got plenty of areas to improve in", he added.
Earlier, Sangakkara was also hopeful about Dilshan’s comeback in the limited-overs series and had said that the all-rounder will be a key for the visitors in winning the ODI series.
"The way he (Dilshan) is batting, I think he'll be again the key factor for us in winning the ODI series. For him to be back leading us on the field will be good for all of us and Dilshan", the wicketkeeper batsman said.
