England vs India – England win the 3rd One Day International against India by three wickets – Match Update
India after posting a tally of 234 runs failed to halt the hosts England from taking a 2-0 lead in the series as England successfully chased the revised target of 218 runs off 43 deliveries when the match was halted between the English innings due to rain.
England had already posted 95 runs on the board for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs when the game was temporarily stopped because of heavy rain and would have won the match by Duckworth–Lewis method (D/L method) had the game been abandoned.
However, after the target was revised the match took an interesting turn as the Indian bowlers bowled exceptionally well, making the English batsmen work hard for their runs.
