England vs http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 – 1st ODI – Live Cricket Score and Update - Bell Rings the Windies with a Ton
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJG-Sammy-c1382, England were in a spot of bother as Alastair
Cook nicked a ball outside off stump.
The talented right-hander, who opened the innings upon his return into the ODI squad where he replaced http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 a day before the match during practice,
which required 10 stitches. Despite a suspected fractured jaw, the champion batsman announced his return with a smashing ton.
The Englishman started his innings with a characteristic push through the cover.  After a cautious start, he lofted http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andre-Dwayne-Russell-c44235 for a straight six and followed that up with a four over the point fielder. With his timing back, he then nailed two more boundaries
off the Windies all-rounder in the same over, squeezing 18 run in total.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Rampaul-c2233 continued his bowling momentum from the Test matches and troubled the opener, including a delivery which might have brushed the edge of the bat.  The Windies went up but the umpire remained unmoved. Later, Snickometer showed evidence of a little
noise as the ball passed the bat. However, from that point onwards there was no looking back for the classy right hander.
In the 17th over, Bell managed to reach his 50 as he drove the visiting spinner http://www.senore.com/Cricket/IJL-Trott-c1576, who was giving steady company to his batting partner, was caught behind off Narine, leaving the field
after making 42 on the team score of 110.
However, Bell continued to rally on and duly brought up his century in the 33rd over. It was his second International ton and a pleasing one, considering all the pressure he had to bear after replacing fans favourite KP. No one could have scripted
a better time for this milestone. Bell has surely answered his critics and has repaid the faith of the English selectors, while putting his side in pole position to win the match.
