England well capable to dominate world of cricket, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 – Cricket News Update
Former Australian batsman, Greg Blewett, has admitted that the Aussies will have to wait for a while to regain the Ashes trophy, as the Englishmen are well capable of dominating the world of cricket.
By crushing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in the first three Tests of the ongoing four-match clash, the English side secured the top position on ICC's Test rankings. Despite the fact that they are the present best side in the world, the Englishmen are not ready to rest on their laurels as their next objective is to establish long-term supremacy at the highest level of the game.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013’s superb performance against the World Champions pushed Blewett to accept that the current English crew holds all the potential and quality to stay at the top for a longer period of time.
"I don't see any reason why they can't. It's always painful to see the old enemy doing so well. But to be honest I think it's good, because they have been pretty ordinary for a long time after we smashed them series after series. They deserve it,” said Blewett.
Although, the Poms displayed an excellent show in each department of the game, the former Australian cricketer cited the bowling attack as the decisive factor in England’s recent glory.
Terming the current English pace attack, including http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711, is the best in the business, he described that India’s inability to cross the 300-mark even once during the last three games shows the class of England’s bowling department.
"Their team is built around their quicks at the moment and a pretty good spinner as well. Their quicks are going great guns and they're all pretty young so I see them having a pretty similar attack for a while,” added the former South Australian player who represented Australia in 46 Tests and 32 ODIs.
Although, Blewett finds no team in the current world with an ability to trounce England, he made clear that the Englishmen will have to keep their heels hot in a bid to remain undoubted kings of Test cricket.
