The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 in style at the European Championships by knocking the co-hosts out
The Three Lions did well to win their previous group stage match against Sweden but now they need a draw against Ukraine to go through. Roy Hodgson’s men have thus far drawn once and won once in their group stage matches against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 and Sweden respectively.
The former West Bromwich Albion manager is known for his pragmatic approach to the game but England’s striker Andy Carroll has made it clear that his team mates will go for the win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 and not take any chances by being cautious and playing for the draw.
Ukraine have done well in the European Championships which are taking place at their home soil but the co-hosts lost their last group stage match against France which means that they must win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015.
Carroll, who netted the first goal of the match against Sweden said, “We think we can finish the job against Ukraine. We are confident. We showed what we are about against Sweden after going behind and have put ourselves in with a good chance of qualifying. Things are in our hands.”
He added, "We will just need a point on Tuesday but we will go there and try and get the win. That's the way we are and approach games. We've got a great team spirit going on. We are really close. Back at the camp, we all stick together; we are all good friends and have a laugh and a joke.”
Hodgson will be aware of the fact that taking England into their encounter against Ukraine with a defeatist mentality and playing for a draw might be their undoing in the end thus it is imperative that the Three Lions play for the win and gain a favourable result in the end.
