England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), on Tuesday revealed the itinerary for next year’s home series against Ashes rivals Australia, with the Women’s Test cricket returning to the schedule. Besides the Ashes Test match, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 women will also play a NatWest Women’s Series and a NatWest Women’s T20 International Series against the mighty Aussies next summer.
The Ashes Test match at the Wormsley Cricket Ground from August 13 to 16, will be the first opportunity for the English women to reclaim the Ashes urn, which they had held since 2005, before relinquishing it to their Australian counterparts with a seven-wicket defeat at Bankstown in Sydney last year.
The one-off Test precedes a three-match One Day International series and and an equal number of T20 Internationals. The one-day series gets underway at the home of cricket, Lord’s, on August 20, before two games at Hove on August 23 and 25.
The NatWest Women’s T20 International Series will kick start on August 27, with a day and night encounter at Chelmsford. The final two matches of the itinerary will be double-headers, to be played directly before the men play Australia in the same format at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton and Chester-le-Street, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Durham-c782 on August 29 and 31 respectively.
