England’s Barry Pinches reveals Pale Man Made have used him as an inspiration in their music
Norwich cueman, Barry Pinches has revealed that the music band Pale Man Made have used him as an inspiration in their music and have produced a song on his name. Pale Man Made from Newcastle have
just released their new album named, Oh, My Treasured Things, which has a song by the title “Pinches”. They have also named their own record label as “Pinch”.
Pale Man Made have been working in the music industry for the past 10 years. Although the band hasn't earned a notable place in the music rankings, they do have a considerable fan following in UK.
Pinches told reporters that the band saw him playing in the televised stages of a few events in 2004 and 2005 and seeing how he was working so hard to make it big in snooker, the band decided to take
that as an inspiration for one of their songs.
While speaking to the local media about the band, Pinches spoke, “They liked snooker and came to watch me play and I've since got to know two of them - Leon and Christianne - really well. They are
typical friendly Geordies and really nice people. I've also been to see them a couple of times, including one gig at a local festival near Norwich.”
The 41-year-old went on to add, “They were in the same position so they took inspiration from me. They didn't know when things were going to start happening for them - which is also how you can feel
as a snooker players sometimes. It was very flattering that they took an interest in me.”
Pinches talked about his favourite musicians during his conversation with the reporters as well, revealing his favourite bands. He wasn't fond of the current music scene but named a few artists he
liked such as The Jam, The Police and U2.
