England’s Judd Trump cannot wait to play Dominic Dale in 2012 World Snooker Championship
Runner up of the 2011 World Snooker Championship against John Higgins, England’s Judd Trump is all set to participate in the upcoming 2012 World Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
The Englishman will be looking to play better than last year and win the title this time. He will be facing the Welshman Dominic Dale in the first round of the tournament.
The recent season has produced better results for the Bristolian potter. He clinched some minor ranking snooker events including the Players Tour Championship (PTC) and the Premier League Snooker. Another major success he earned in the recent season was
winning the 2011 UK Championship. He is currently one of the toughest opponents in the professional circuit.
The Ace is aiming to win the Championship this time because he missed his chance last year against Higgins. Despite performing well in the final, he was not able to win the final and tumbled down by the score line of 18-15. The Bristolian potter cannot wait
to perform at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield against Dale.
While speaking to the media, Trump said, “I can't wait to play now, I've been really excited about going back to the Crucible. Playing in the final last year was just unbelievable, the atmosphere was brilliant. I've just been working really hard on my game
in the last couple of weeks – and I feel good.”
Mr. Haircut 100 added, “It's going to be a different pressure on me this year because everyone is expecting me to do really well, but I'm confident I can cope with that. I'm quite relaxed going to Sheffield, I'm focused on what I've got to do.”
Both Trump and Dale have played against each other in the first round of the 2011 UK Championship where Trump came out victorious. The odds here are favouring the 22-year-old Trump and he surely has the potential to beat Dale and move into advance stages
of the event. It will be exciting to see how Trump manages to put in a good performance and build up some winning momentum.
