England’s fast bowler, James Anderson desperate to play Twenty20 cricket – Cricket News Update
England’s fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JM-Anderson-c1705, is looking forward to represent his County, Lancashire in the Twenty20 format of the game to show his skill before the next year’s World Twenty20 Cup.
The right-arm pacer, Anderson, who has been outstanding with his bowling in the recently concluded Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, showed dissatisfaction over not getting enough opportunities in Twenty20 cricket.
“I’m sure the selectors know my feelings. I want to play T20 cricket for England.” He said
“I’m disappointed that I’m not and it’s down to me to persuade them I should be.” Anderson added.
“With only nine T20 matches for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 between now and the next World Twenty20, time and games are running out for me,” he continued.
The striking pacer who has always been phenomenal with his recital during the Test format and ODI version of the game for his country, just managed to play 19 Twenty20 Internationals and voiced his desire to cement his place in
England’s T20 squad.
In this regard, he thinks that he can utilise his experience to adjust in Twenty20 to perform according to the requirement of the format.
“But I do feel I can transfer the skills I’ve developed in one-day and Test cricket to the T20 arena and it’s frustrating I haven’t had the chance to play any domestic T20 cricket in which to press my case.” He added.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old fast bowler cited that he is looking forward to help his national team against India in the ongoing One Day International series.
Earlier, Anderson claimed that the English side is fully capable of thrashing the Indian team in the 5-match One Day International series following the victory in the Test series.
Anderson is one of the best bowlers England has ever produced, cracked the batting line of the Aussies during the Ashes series last year.
