It is believed that the English pacer, James Anderson, will be fit for the third Test against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758. Anderson was forced to miss the second Test due to fears of injury after his exceptional spell in the first Test, at Cardiff.
In the first innings of the Cardiff Test, the strike bowler took three sensational wickets after giving away 66 runs.
However, after this he was forced to rest by the English management due to concerns over his side strain.
Nonetheless, speaking to media men, the lanky bowler said, “The good news is that I feel fine. I'm due to play a T20 match for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Worcestershire-c866 on Sunday and if all goes well I will be fit for selection.”
He however, regretted not being allowed to bowl in the second innings when he was doing so well.
On the other hand he fully recognized the concerns of the medical team and felt that there was no point in taking chances with his body and the medical team made the right call because there was a possibility of sustaining a serious side strain in the cold
weather that he was playing in.
Commending his side on their emphatic win against the Sri Lankans in the first Test, he said, “I had mixed emotions as events unfolded on the last day in Cardiff. It was fantastic to see us doing so well, taking the wickets and winning but, at the same time,
it was tough to watch them all celebrating and not be involved on the pitch.”
Anderson also reiterated that he was fully committed to continuing his career in the One-Day format of the game, even when he had a below average http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 right after
the Ashes.
He admitted that his lackluster performance in the world cup had him concerned over his future in the 50-over game, but now he feels that he can carry on and perform for England at any level.
