England’s rugby feet still on the ground after defeating Wallabies

England, who got their most well-known victory over Wallabies last Saturday, still have their feet on the ground.
England was enormously criticized, when they lost their first match of this autumn season, against the All Blacks. Everyone accused their slow start as the reason for their failure.
But in the very next match they proved to the World with their hard work that they are also strong candidate for next year’s World Cup, when they out shined the Wallabies at Twickenham stadium, London, last Saturday.
England’s team manager, Martin Johnson, who would never have his head in the clouds, has made this thing very clear to all the teams that they will not sit after their remarkable performance against Wallabies. They will keep on doing hard work.
He said a convincing victory with a score of 35-18 against one of the World’s best teams did not mean that they are perfect. He said his team will keep on getting better.
This victory is special for England in the way that the match only had 6 scrums and scrums have always been considered as England’s strength. Moreover, all scrums ended with a free kick or penalties, which abolished England’s strength. But still England
won the match with a clear margin.
England out-played the Wallabies in every area and proved that they can get points even if they are not getting scrums. Chris Ashton’s try in the 47th minute is considered as England’s best try of all time.
England’s victory over the Wallabies has also improved their ratings and took them to 4th position in the International Rugby Board’s ratings.
It was the 3rd time that England beat the Wallabies by 17 points. Their first win over the Wallabies was in 1973 and then in 1976. England’s 35 points in the match is their highest number of points against Australia. Their previous best was 32
points, which they scored at the same, Twickenham stadium in 2002.
England’s manager, Martin Johnson, who is very pleased with the win over the Wallabies, spoke to media after the match and said victory is the reward of hard work from England’s players and staff. He said, all the guys played very well and many of them took
a big step forward.
He went on to say that England played pretty well and they had tempo and momentum from the start, every player performed outstanding and he is very happy for everyone. It is a memorable performance.
England has 2 more matches during this autumn season. They will play against Samoa on this coming Saturday. Johnson is looking positively at the match against Samoa and wants to register their 3rd win in 4 matches.
England beat the Wallabies twice and faced one loss against the All Blacks in the last 3 matches they played.
Johnson has trust in his team and said his team is capable of performing well against Samoa. He said, “you only have to perform your 100% in 80 minutes of play and then after giving your 100% for 80 minutes, you can enjoy it for very long time”, as England
is still basking in the glow of their victory over the Wallabies.
England’s performance has not being consistent in the past but Johnson is pretty sure that his team will get rid of this inconsistency and will continue their wins.
On the other hand, Wallabies captain, Rocky Elsom, has also appraised England’s performance and said this is the best performance he has seen from England.
"It was not for lack of attempt but some of the implementation was not as pointed as it has been, that's clear. We were playing against a very good English side and their implementation was top cut. That was the difference between the sides. Against a weaker
side, it would not have been a problem”.
Wallabies’ coach, Robbie Deans, also impressed with England’s performance, said England has improved a lot.
He was not amazed with the way England has improved over the year, “We have observed their improvement and we knew they would be keen to get on. It did not surprise us at all. Two tries apiece but clearly England deserved their win. England played very well
today - they picked up the pace and played with great plan".
Now England’s confidence is peaking and everyone is expecting a repeat performance against Samoa.
