The right-handed basher found himself in immense pain after suffering a blow on his left-hand during the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) semi-final match between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians, played on Saturday, October 8, 2011.
In the 19th over of Somerset’s innings, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jos-Buttler-c1733 smashed a full length delivery in an attempt to fetch a boundary for his side; however, the ball struck Kieswetter who was standing at the non-strikers end.
Proclaiming to be fit, Kieswetter said, “It’s probably the cleanest ball I've ever been struck with. It was a pity, but I feel fighting fit. There's no better preparation than being out in the middle playing.
“I'm feeling really good, got through the training session today, and I'm excited about this upcoming series.”
Kieswetter seemed to be at ease while keeping wickets during practice session and is all set to play for English team in a warm-up match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 Cricket Association XI, starting on Tuesday, October 11.
The 23-year-old has been the driving force behind Somerset’s recent success. The opening batsman piled 144 runs and maintained an average of 72 during the CLT20. Kieswetter hopes of building on his form against the Men in Blue.  
“Obviously the tempo is a little bit different, but there's no better method of preparation than being out there in the middle in a match environment. My role is in the team, I'll be trying my hardest to achieve that. It's going to
be a great series and one I'm looking forward to,” said the 23-year-old wicket-keeper.  
Kieswetter will be opening the innings for England alongside his skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/IJL-Trott-c1576 can play at their own pace.
The youngster made his first International appearance in 2010 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 at Dhaka. He has played 23 ODI matches for the Poms and has scored 674 runs at an average of 30.63, since making his debut.
