Question:

English 8-ball question?

I've noticed that in some other countries, instead of having numbered stripes and solids on bar tables, they use 7 red balls and 7 yellow balls in addition to the 8-ball (black ball). My question is this. Doesn't it ever get confusing which ball is being called if there is a tight cluster of reds or yellows? What if a whole lot is happening all at once very quickly and you can't tell which red or yellow was pocketed? By having numbered stripes and solids, this isn't a problem. You can just look in the ball return or the pocket, depending on the type of table.

  1. Rules are slightly different, players here don't need to pot balls in sequence so there wouldn't be a question of orders. The rest of the game play are generally the same.

  2. Bout like reffin a tag team worm fight  most of the times ive seen or played it in canada there isnt many call shots but quite a bit of ball counting

some places dont call red shots in snooker also you dont see many hard strokes in rither game i figure thats what lead to numberd balls

as always i got another comment put reg  numberd rack on snooker table shoot in rotation then colored ball  man pack a lunch we had 1 game last over 6 hrs

  3. I dont think players actually call a specific ball or pocket in these games. Just as long as a correct legal shot is excecuted. As long as you pocket one of your balls, As long as one of your balls hits a specific amount of rails etc.
