Question:

English Camps in Korea..?

I have recently heard rumours of Summer and Winter English camps in Korea. Apparently, you work 6 weeks at a camp, play games, outdoor activities, and of course teaching. And you can make up to $5000 US dollars at the end of the 6 weeks.

Anyone with experience in this? Or information? I met someone that did it but wasn't able to get enuogh information out him. Thanks!

  1. $5000 sounds a bit high. $3000-4000 would be more likely. If you are in the US right now, remember that you need a plane ticket over there... it can cost about $2000, so that takes a big chunk out of how much you make.

Usually, to get work in Korea, you need to be a native speaker of English and have at least a bachelor's degree.

If you really want to go see another country without spending a lot, it can be a good way to do that. If, on the other hand, your main goal is to make money, you can probably make more doing something else since the plane ticket's so expensive.

eslcafe.com has very active forums about teaching in Korea. If you want to know about a specific program, someone there might be able to help you.
