Are there any catholics in England that are English by blood and have been Catholic since before the Protestant reformation?

  1. Well, that is not really a question one could just "know." But using common sense, Yes.

Yes there a some still in England, but England is still a Anti Catholic country in some aspects, for instance the Prime Minister of Britain cannot be a Roman Catholic and the ruling Monarch (King or Queen) also can't be Roman Catholic, there are roughly about 2 million Roman Catholics in England and compared to the population of over 60 million is a very small percentage, and that includes immigrants so the actual amount is even lower.

  3. Yes, of course there are. Many Roman Catholics remained such following the reformation and throughout the years of persecution and times when Roman Catholics were banned from universities, holding high office, etc. The Earl Marshal of England, the Duke of Norfolk is a Roman Catholic.

    Actually, since you use the word 'catholic' without the prefix 'Roman'  and with a small 'c' the answer is alternatively that yes, there are as all Christians who ascribe to the creed - 'I believe in one holy, apostolic and catholic church' are 'catholic'
