How long is the shortest stretch of the English Channel? ( In miles please)

Where is the starting and finishing point of this stretch?

Who is the youngest person (male and female) to swim the English Channel? How old were they? Where did they go from and finish at? How long did it take them? How far did they swim (in miles)?

I've swam the distance of it for charity in a swimming pool, but I did it over a couple of weeks. It is 22.8miles but I'm not sure what the 2 points are.

ooooooooooh you're a curious young lassie aren't you!!! You would be thinking of swimming it would you??? I hear that it can be a wee bit chilly this time of year!!! Well;

*The shortest stech is 82 miles

*It starts in Whaley Bridge and finishes in Marple

*My wee sister was the youngest and she swam it when she was only a wee child of 3

*It took her a week

*She did the shortest stretch and swam 82 miles which is pretty good for a wee lassie!!! =]
