Hey guys I'm doing a higher tier paper on June 5th, the examining body I am with is AQA.

Whilst I was revising I was told that we had to revise various poems from cluster 1 and 2 from the Anthology.

Is this true because my friends are sort of divided on this, I need help and need to know if I have to revise these topics...

Thank you

P.S - The Title of my paper is "English A Paper 2 Tier H"

  1. when i took the english gcse we didnt have to revise the poems as we were allowed the anthology in the exam room. all we had to revise was how to analyse the poems to give the best possible answers.

good luck...if in any doubt ask your english teacher :)

  2. I know this is kind of late, the exam's today (I have it too aaaahhh), but you're menat to revise ALL the porems from ONE of the two clusters, and if you wish a few of the poems from the other cluster. There will be two questions on the paper for you to choose between, one with a named peom from cluster 1 and another with a named peom from cluster 2, it could be any poem so it is important that you do know ALL of them from at least on cluster.

    Good luck!

  3. I did my english higher AQA 2 years ago. they change it every year. you are better off just revising how to analyse poems and stuff like that so that you can answer the questions on any poem. that way it wont matter what poem you get, you'll still know what to do. Good luck with it, its not as hard as everyone says!

  4. Whichever cluster you did, you study - all the poems, not just random ones. If you did both, you're at an advantage as you could choose the question on Cluster 1 or Cluster 2 (don't do both questions though!!). :)
