ok so im homeschooled now (my old school sucked)

anways i was in advanced classes and Im not going to lie, yah I was smart.

now... after being homeschooled since early november I noticed my math and english (my best subject) have slipped dramaticly!!! Its terrible! my mom said as long as I read im fine and im a bookworm but its still not helping! im afraid that by the time the EOGs come around im going to fail :[

im doing computer lessons and already finished science and am nearing the end to my social studies work. The math & english lessons was stuff I did last year so I stopped.

What are the basic english & math requirements for passing the EOGs?

like any grammar words, math problems & concepts?

  1. Maybe you should look into purchasing some resources to help you with math, grammar and vocabulary.

I have heard good things about the Key To series for improving math skills:

If you are doing algebra you may want to look at Teaching Textbooks or Chalkdust.  These programs have videos you can watch and learn.

For grammar, Easy Grammar is a simple, easy way to improve grammar skills.  You cmplete one worksheet per day.

For vocabulary you may want to try wordly wise:

Check out the above resources and see if any of them wil help.  You probably are not as behind as you think you are, but it's great that you want to improve your knowledge in these areas.  Good luck!

  2. Not sure what EOGs are.  You might want to put that in the question heading to help people who know about them to find your question.

I'd suggest that you might want to keep working on English and math on your own.  They are the sort of subjects that it is easy to lose ground in if you take too long of a break from them.  (You don't have to go out and buy some curriculum.  You can find stuff online to keep your mind active in these areas.  Or see if your library has any books on them that you can check out.)

    Good luck.

  3. I reported the person that was swearing at you...but that was the best I could do.

    I don't have EOG's here.

I have homeschooled my son for 2 1/2 years, he is 9.  Sorry I can't help...I just wanted to tell you that I reported that one for swearing at you.
