English Premier League, Chelsea Transfer Gossip 1st December
Kakuta To Leave Chelsea For AC Milan
Nineteen-year-old Gael Kakuta will be out of contract with Chelsea at the end of this season, and there have been reports that AC Milan are trying their best to convince the French under-21 international to leave the Blues. He joined Chelsea three years
ago, which led the Blues to suffer a transfer ban because his arrival was controversial.
He arrived from French side Lens three years ago. The dispute between Chelsea and Lens led to the Blues being banned from signing any new players until January 2011, when FIFA handed down their judgement in September 2009. However, the Court of Arbitration
for Sport overturned their decision in February, and the Blues were cleared of any wrongdoing.
It’s not certain if the player will be offered a new deal, as Chelsea are looking to cut their wage bill. However a French newspaper revealed that the Blues have offered the 19-year-old a four year contract.  Kakuta has been considering his future, and has
not reached a decision as yet, but it is obvious that the youngster will attracted to a move abroad.
Bayern Munich are also interested in the Chelsea midfielder, but AC Milan have emerged as strong competitors to sign the youngster. Kakuta will most likely be looking forward to a move away from London because of lack of first team opportunities. He faces
competition from the likes of experienced players like Michael Essien, Ramires, Frank Lampard, John Obi Mikel and Florent Malouda.
Chelsea Interested In West Ham’s James Tomkins
The Blues are reportedly interested in West Ham defender James Tomkins, and Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is planning to make a bid for the England under-21 international this January. Ancelotti seems to be looking to strengthen his defence, which has fallen
apart with the absence of captain John Terry.
The 21-year-old defender is basically a central defender, but can also play right- back if the occasion calls for it. He is also reportedly looking for a move away from Upton Park, which manager Avram Grant is failing to prevent, due to the interest from
other top Premier League sides.
Ancelotti is desperate to bring in reinforcements to Stamford Bridge, especially after the past few results, which saw Chelsea lose three out of four games. The Blues recently drew with Newcastle, which saw them give up their lead at the top of the Premier
League table.
