Liverpool were still trying to find the goal and they were dominating the possession. Steven http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 with the assist that was required. Steven Gerard’s services had
been missing from the Reds because of the injury that he suffered while playing for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
But, now the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314 Fantastic was back and was going to try his best to impress the coach. He had already done that but now returning from an injury he really needed to show the team that he was needed by them. Fernando Torres was still missing the spark
that he had last season.
Liverpool were on the attack but they couldn't really do anything from it as Wolves were playing most of their men behind the ball. The Reds tried their best to keep possession of the ball but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 too were trying their best to play counter attacking football.
It could have been dangerous for Wolves to do such a thing as Liverpool could easily crack good defences.
Wolves finally found a way to breakthrough but Martin Skrtel made sure that he was on the left wing at the right time. It was David Jones who tried to move from the flank but Skrtel attended to it and easily cleared the threat.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-Meireles-c30678 got the ball at his feet but the Wolves centre back Ronald Zubar pressed upon him and injured the Portuguese. He was on the ground and looked to be very much in pain but later the medics made sure that he was able to continue his play. In such
cold weather, it was hard to resist but the Portuguese had done so as he got back onto his feet and started playing the regular football on the right flank.
The ball was passed back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672 because of the injury and the Spanish goalkeeper passed it on towards Lucas. The Brazilian gave the ball to Fernando Torres on the left flank. The Spaniard passed it back to Lucas who took a shot on goal but it got
blocked by the Wolves number 1. Fernando Torres then took on the deflected shot but nothing came from it as Liverpool wasted another chance.
The Reds were pressurizing the Wolves' defence and even though Wolves were trying to play counter attacking football while being away from home, they were under big threat from the home team. The Spanish striker was making good runs up front and Wolves were
finding it difficult to cope up with him.
Wolves made another long pass towards the right flank and won a corner but it was not well taken by Richard Stearman and a chance was thus wasted by the bottom table side. Eighteen minutes had passed in the Barclays Premier League fixture and both the sides
were still goalless even though Liverpool had tried their best to find the back of the net.
