English Premier League: Park Ji Sung hypes up the winning mood as Hodgson praised Fernando Torres
Park Ji Sung, Manchester United’s Korean winger scored their last gasp winner against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on Saturday to keep his team in the hunt for their 19th English Premier League title. The Asian footballer spoke after
his team’s win as he expressed his feelings on his last minute strike against Mick McCarthy’s men. Manchester United who are currently 2nd in the English Premier League table face Manchester City in their next league match and after the Manchester
Derby they face Aston Villa at the Villa Park, in two important matches of their season thus far.
Park Ji Sung spoke to the media as he said, "Next week we have two very important games and we needed to stay in the winning mood. We've done that and now we have to prepare well for the game against Manchester City. I'm very happy. We've got another three
points and I've scored the winning goal in the last minute. I'm very happy with that. You can't compare this feeling to anything else, the feeling of scoring the winning goal in the last minute with the crowd all jumping up and shouting. It's an unbelievable
experience, I really enjoyed that. We kept trying to score and in the end we did it."
On the other hand, Fernando Torres’s two goals against Chelsea earned him praise from Liverpool’s manager Roy Hodgson. Liverpool’s third win in a row has now propelled them to 9th in the English Premier League table. Roy said to the media, “I
am pleased Fernando will get all the plaudits,” said the Liverpool manager. “He has taken his fair share of criticism, some of which has been exaggerated and not deserved, but people will now say he is back to his best. Let’s hope that is the case. It certainly
was against Chelsea.”
The former Fulham manager said, “He is a vital player for Liverpool, as he would be for any club. He wants the club to do well. He wants to see we are moving in the right direction and like me he can see a positive future here. He likes being at Liverpool
and playing for Liverpool. I do not have any fears as far as he is concerned, as long as we can get back close to the top of the table where Liverpool belong.”
