English Premier League - Part 1: Predictions of the next games
The 10/11 season of the premier league is turning out to be one of the most interesting ones yet. Last year, the league exceeded all expectations of entertainment and drama, as the title wasn't decided till the very last day. The top four were finally broken after nearly 5 years, with Liverpool dropping out and Tottenham Hotspurs paving their way to the number 4th spot.
Chelsea and Manchester United battled out for the number one spot till the last day, with Chelsea inevitably lifting the coveted trophy. Manchester City came close to finishing in the Champions league spot, only to be denied by Spurs in the dying moments of the league.
Although just three matches have been played to date, some exciting results have surfaced. Manchester United was denied their chance of winning in Craven Cottage yet again, when they drew against Fulham despite taking the lead twice. Sunderland defeated the 160 million pound team in the form of Manchester City, thanks to a late penalty by Darren Bent.
The Premier league will restart on September 11th, owing to the Euro 2012 qualifiers. The star of the English league would be busy with international duties for their respective nations, as each European team would be looking to qualify for the prestigious European Championship.
