English Premier League: Premier League News 4th November

James Milner Defends Yaya Toure Row
England international James Milner said that his half time clash with Yaya Toure at the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal at Eastlands was just a reflection of their desire to win. Milner and Toure reportedly had an argument at half time when they were losing to the
Gunners at home.
However, the Manchester City midfielder played down the incident, dismissing it as a normal argument between teammates. He insisted that the altercation with Toure was just out of frustration of losing at home and the hunger to succeed.
Milner told reporters, “It was heat of the moment, it happens every single week, people wanting to win games. There are no problems at all between me and Yaya, two people who want to win and it ends as soon as you step off field. It says we're very hungry
to win.”
He added, “I think you would be worried if there wasn't that hunger and desire to win.  Everyone here is desperate to win and win trophies. You'll see that in changing rooms up and down the country every week.  You'll hear people saying things and disagreeing,
because players want to win matches.”
Despite having a good start to the season, Manchester City have lost their last two games; Arsenal and Wolves. Roberto Mancini’s side get set to take on West Brom this weekend and will hope to end their bad form. They are currently on fourth in the Premier
League table.
Gareth Bale Staying At Tottenham
Gareth Bale insisted that he had no intention of leaving Tottenham, despite Europeans biggest clubs interested in bringing him over. The 21 year old has recently established himself as one of the most exciting players in Europe, especially after his display
in the Champions League.
Bale plays on the left flank; he is capable of playing as a left back and a winger. He was recently noticed by the top sides when he scored a hat trick against Inter Milan at the San Siro and then played an essential role in beating Milan at White Hart Lane.
However, the Welshman quashed all rumors of a move away from Tottenham. He confirmed he was happy with the Spurs and wished to remain there for the time being. He said, “I am very happy at Tottenham and don't see the need to move anywhere else. There are
lots of players on long-term deals at the club and that makes for stability within the squad.”
He added, “Tottenham have shown against Inter they can compete on the biggest stage with the best teams so why would anyone want to leave?  There is a terrific group of players at White Hart Lane, the feeling with the squad is amazing and we've certainly
made everyone in Europe sit up and take notice of us now.”
