English Premier League Rumours: Will Steven Gerrard move to Real Madrid?
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has been widely linked with a transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid since the last two seasons. However, the Liverpool midfielder has now come out into the open to put an end to all such rumours and speculations.
Captain Steven Gerrard has suggested that he plans to stay at Liverpool after confessing that he is quite impressed with new team manager Roy Hodgson's future plans. Gerrard also put a lot of emphasis on Joe Cole and believes that it will be a fantastic opportunity to play alongside him.
The England national team midfielder, who has been related with a transfer move to Real Madrid, greeted the inclusion of his England teammate as a positive development. Cole, who played as a midfielder with Chelsea signed a four-year contract with the Reds.
Having been quiet on the appointment of new manager Roy Hodgson and his future plans due to his captaincy responsibilities at the recently finished South African World Cup, Gerrard has finally spoken to the media.
The fiery midfielder said that he wanted to meet the new manager in private and after doing so, is impressed with the manager’s plans for the Reds. About Joe Coles move, the captain commented that it will be fantastic to play alongside him as he knows Cole well through the national team setup.
Gerrard, having had the privileged responsibility of the England national team captaincy after Rio Ferdinand, turned down to converse over his views on his potential future.

The trio convinced Cole to sign-up ahead of other potential pursuers like north London clubs such as Tottenham.
