Manchester United's veteran midfielder and winger, Ryan Giggs has gone on to pen a new contract with Manchester United, meaning that he will now be a Red Devil for one more year.
The 37-year-old Welshman was believed to be on the verge of calling it quits as a footballer at the end of the season, but it seems like that is not going to be the case any more.
Following the extension of his contract Giggs is reported to have said, "All I've ever wanted to do is play for United and I've been lucky enough to do that for 20 years"
"It is great to know I'm still contributing to the team's success and I feel I've got a lot to offer on and off the pitch. This is an exciting time to be involved with so many good young players coming through." added the veteran midfielder.
Giggs by all means is a living legend at Manchester United. The player has managed to win eleven Premier League crowns at Manchester United, which also happen to be the total Premier League titles that United have also
won.

players were referred to as the Golden-era footballers, however, Giggs proved to be the most successful when it came to winning titles with the team.
The player has been present at almost every, if not every final that the team has played over the last two decades and with the extension to his contract, we might just see him in a few other finals as well.
As it stands, the amount of experience that Giggs has is quite easily unmatchable, which is one of the reasons that it was so easy for him to earn an extension at the club. Going into what is more than likely to be
his last season at the club, the player is going to act like a coach or mentor for the younger players, which would not only cement his place in United folklore, but also be vital for the younger players to learn from.
All in all, it is safe to say that Giggsy, despite nearing forty years of age, will still be the man to watch every time he takes the pitch next season.
