English Premier League Team of the Week – 2nd week of matches
Following the second week of the English Premier League, the official team of the week has now been announced. The list features a few seasoned regulars, while a number of new faces also join the mix. Here is a look at all the players who made the cut this
time around. The players have been selected on the basis of a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Goal Keeper: Ruddy – Norwich: The Norwich goal keeper went on to produce some fine saves during the game against Stoke City and due to the breathtaking form that he displayed in the game, he has been picked as the keeper for the week.
Right Back: Kelly – Liverpool: The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and his performances were far better than most playing in the same position this past
week.
Centre Backs: Coloccini and De Laet: The Newcastle United defender and the Norwich defender, are both partially surprise players to have made the cut. However, the duo were outstanding this past weekend and should they keep their form up, it would be long
before bigger teams move in and try to make bids for the players.
Left back: Enrique – Liverpool: The Liverpool defender, just like Kelly was given the nod to be in the team of the week, for the simple reason that the full backs this past weekend just weren’t up to the mark and hence on the best of the worst basis, Kelly
and Enrique were included in the team.
Holding midfielders: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706: The Liverpool midfielder and the Manchester City number seven, both had outstanding games this past weekend. Both of them went on to cause havoc on the pitch and really took the game to their opponents.
Attacking Midfielders: Welbeck, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10601, Agbonlahor: The Manchester United attacker, the City play maker and the Aston Villa speed demon, all went on to rip their opposition apart this past weekend and all deserve to be in the team, only because of their
outstanding performances.
Striker: Edin Dzeko: The Manchester City forward stood head and shoulders above the other forwards in the Premier League this past weekend. The forward seems to have finally found his spot in the Manchester City team and is bound to cause havoc from here
on, every time he takes to the field for the team.
