English Premier League: Where should the top flight teams end their respective seasons (Final Part)
6)Sunderland
The real over-achievers of this season have been Sunderland. It still seems very unrealistic when one looks at the Premier League table and sees Sunderland in 6th place. Steve Bruce’s side even defied the odds when
they travelled to Stamford Bridge to face reigning Premier League champions, Chelsea who have rarely been beaten at home. But http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kieran-Richardson-c20946,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Asamoah-Gyan-c6791 is another reason why Sunderland are flying so high and probably won’t come crashing down anytime
soon. It’s not sure if Sunderland will be good enough to keep hold of the Europa league place but after such a great start who can bet on it?
5)Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham have done exactly what was expected of them this season, that is, playing brilliant football but they have done even better in the Champions League. Beating http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan and Werder Bremen is not the easiest task and under
Harry Redknapp, the Spurs have been anything but ordinary. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and even
Europe right now.
But the London club will have a fight on its’ hands for the Champions League spot as Manchester City’s ambitions are matching those of the Spurs. They might even to face stiff competition from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 who are expected to mount
a serious assault in the 2nd half of the season. They just might be able to hold on to the 4th spot as they have made a great start to the Premier League this season.
4)Chelsea
The reigning Barclays Premier League champions have had a great start to the season but have been something more than shaky in recent weeks that saw them come to 4th place. This was definitely not what manager, Carlo
Ancelotti had hoped for from his side. They were going to host Manchester United before the winter break but after the ‘snowy crisis’, were perhaps saved from further embarrassment as the game was postponed. When the season reopens, the London side should
be in great shape after a long rest and will be able to mount a title assault against the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.
3)Manchester City
The cash-laden Manchester City side has finally started to work as a team and have been in fine form. The summer signings go on to show how much the owners are serious about winning the title. But right now, winning the title is
not a good choice as they should qualify for the Champions League first before even dreaming of winning any silverware. They will face great competition from Liverpool and the Spurs and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 will be under a lot of pressure to deliver the goods when the
season starts again.
2)Arsenal
It’s been a long time since Arsenal won a trophy and the drought is getting frustrating for the fans. They have to win something this year. It’s ‘very Arsenalish-like’ to see the Gunners go to a good position and then let it slip.
Yes, it was a very immature team 2 or 3 seasons ago but there are no excuses this time. They have to deliver! They have to beat the big teams and have to win the title but it will be hard when Chelsea get back to its winning ways so a 3rd place
is more likely. They do have a chance of winning the Carling Cup though!
1)Manchester United
Without any doubt, Manchester United should be winning the title this season. They are 3 points better than Arsenal at the top and have even two games in hand against Blackpool and Chelsea. The title is theirs’ to lose now but
Sir Alex Fergusons’ side has enough experience and mental strength to hold on to 1st place and win the title.
This time, the side is not as great as the previous title winning sides but the lads have enough in them to win the Premier League. Sir Alex is truly a great manager, one of the finest the world has ever seen and he will make sure
that his relatively young side won’t let the trophy slip from their grasp.
