The Ivorian ace has reportedly garnered interest from several European clubs, and his agent Francis Kacou has now confirmed that Chelsea and Aston Villa along with other clubs have expressed interest in signing him.
Reports in English and Dutch media suggest that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitesse-c40905 Arnhem striker, Wilfried Bony, has been targeted by several English Premier League clubs including the likes of Chelsea and Aston Villa.
The 23-year-old’s agent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francis-c13946 Kacou, has now confirmed reports by stating that there is immense interest in his client’s services, especially from English Premier League.
“There is interest in the player from the Premier League, Chelsea, Aston Villa included”, Kacou was quoted as saying to journalists.
The Ivorian ace, who has been plying his trade at GelreDome Stadion since the summer 2011, has been in supreme goalscoring form since the start of the 2012/13 campaign.
Netting an impressive 12 goals while setting up two more in 11 Eredivisie appearances, the former Sparta Prague hit-man has been making the headlines for all the good reasons week in week out this term.
Following his prolific showings in the ongoing season, the technically gifted striker has constantly been tipped to be the next Ivorian star after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044, who netted over 100 goals while wearing Chelsea colours in 341 appearances in all competitions during his eight-year stay at Stamford Bridge.
Bony, who has thus far donned the jersey of the Arnhem outfit in close to 50 games, expressed his delight over being linked with Chelsea, while confirming that his agent is dealing with all the interested parties.
“My agent is dealing with all enquiries but being linked with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 is a dream come true, they are a very big club, and my hero Drogba was there”, the 23-year-old said while talking to the media.
The Ivorian ace has an ongoing contract at GelreDome Stadion that runs until the end of the 2014/15 season. However, reports indicate that the club management will let go of their prized asset if an offer in the region of 12 million Euros comes in after the end of the ongoing campaign.
