London sides Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur look set to compete for the signature of Moussa Sow, the 25-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Senegal-c3001 international. The Lille striker was reportedly in talks with the Ligue 1 side over a new contract, but they were unable to come to an
agreement after which there has been speculation linking Sow with a move away to the English Premier League.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 under-21 international began his senior club career with Rennes in 2006, spending a season on loan with Sedan before transferring to Lille in 2010. He has made a total of 41 appearances in the Ligue 1 since then and has scored 27 goals,
with his debut goal for Lille coming against his former side Rennes. He finished top goal-scorer for the 2010-2011 season in the French Ligue, helping his side to their first ever Ligue 1 title.
Since then he has attracted international from many sides, most notably English sides Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. The Senegalese admitted he was uncertain about his future with the French outfit and has not yet made up his mind. Sow revealed he was willing
to wait until the end of the season to decide if he wanted to stay with Lille, ruling out a move in the January transfer window.
Sow said in an interview:
“Now in my head I do not know what will happen at the end of the season.
I honestly cannot tell if I am going to go or stay.”
Sow has two years remaining on his contract, which is why Lille were somewhat desperate to have him sign a new contract, committing his long term future to the club. However, with negotiations having broken down, it seems highly likely the player could be
heading out in the summer transfer window. The striker revealed he did not wish to talk about the contract negotiations and wanted to prove his worth on the pitch instead.
He continued:
“[On contract negotiations] this worries me. As things stand I am the type of player who wants to talk on the pitch.”
