Chelsea reportedly interested in Everton winger Steven Pienaar
Defending champions http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Everton winger Steven Pienaar. Carlo Ancelotti’s side is facing serious competition from London rivals Tottenham in the race to sign the South African
international, who possesses the ability to play on either wing.
He would make a good addition to wherever he goes, having overstayed his welcome at Everton. The 28-year-old’s contract will expire at the end of this season and Everton manager David Moyes admitted that due to lack of transfer
funds he would be willing to sell Pienaar in the January transfer window, provided he finds a suitable replacement.
Chelsea are willing to offer £3 million for the player, who will be available for free in the summer, with Everton having failed to sign a new deal with the player. However, Chelsea need a player like Pienaar during this tough
period; his pace and experience will make him a valuable asset at Stamford Bridge.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 willing to take pay-cut for a loan move to Tottenham
Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 captain David Beckham has apparently agreed to take a pay-cut to help push for a loan move to Tottenham Hotspur, instead of the training deal which was originally agreed to. Beckham seems to be willing to agree to
take a cut to his basic wage and claims that he won’t demand any image rights compensation from Tottenham and would also take care of the insurance costs incurred at that time.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star currently earns a total of £32 million a year with LA Galaxy and if he agrees to the deal with the Spurs, he will receive about £80,000-a-week. The only disagreement at this point
is his returning date for LA Galaxy, with the MLS side demanding the star returns early February for preseason preparation, whereas the Spurs want to keep him until mid-March.
Gunners’ keeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Almunia-c23386 on his way out
Arsenal (ex) first-choice goalkeeper seems to have made up his mind about leaving the Emirates Stadium and his destination seems to be http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026. According to reports, the Spanish goalkeeper has told his close friends that he has
decided to part ways with Arsenal, and Turkish side Galatasaray so far are first in line to sign him.
Arsenal will be asking for an estimated £1.5 million for the 33-year-old keeper, who has been in horrible form for the Gunners. The keeper, who is believed to be the worst stopper in the English Premier League, has finally decided
to leave. From being the first-choice keeper, Almunia has been replaced by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wojciech-Szczesny-c36998, despite both the goalkeepers being less experienced.
