  1. I need to learn.

    I need to eat.

"to learn" and "to eat" are infinitives.  "to be taught" and "to be eaten" are in the passive voice, which means that the subject is receiving the action and not doing the action.

    1.  If what you need is a noun, it's:

    I need a pen.  I need paper.

If what you need is to do something, it's "need" + infinitive:

I need to talk to you.  I need to go to the store.

    2.  passive and active

In the active voice, the subject is doing the action:

I throw the ball.  I give the rose to Cindy.

In both sentences, "I" is the subject, and "I" and the one who throws the ball and gives the rose to Cindy.

In the passive voice, the subject RECEIVES the action:

The ball is thrown to me.  Cindy is given the rose by me.

In the first sentence, "the ball" is the subject, and it is PASSIVELY receiving the action:  someone (not the ball) is throwing the ball.

In the second sentence, "Cindy" is the subject, and she is passively receiving the action:  I am the one who does the giving (the one who gives).

    ===

"Should," "must," and "have" get complicated.  They can be used as auxiliary verbs.  Some examples:

    I should go home.

    I must go home.

    I have TO GO home.

    I need TO GO home.

As far as I know, there's no logical reason as to why some use the infinitive and others don't.  You just have to get used to it.

I hope I helped you a little.  I realize more and more how difficult it is to learn English!

  2. i need to eat

    i need to lear

english is jsut wierd like that

  3. It is grammatically correct to say I need to eat.  I need to learn.

  4. ok, some languages have an infinitive form, english is one. all the examples you have cited are not the same. in english, one says "i should go" or "i must eat."  i think has to do whether the verb takes an object or not. if there is no object, like should or must, then the infinitive is not used.

  5. You NEED the "to". What language do you speak it could help others.

    BUT

"I Should to learn" = Bad English

"I Should Learn English" = Good English

  6. I need to learn

    I need to eat

if you dnt say this than no one would know what you're talking about..so yea those are the right things to say.yes you need to say to before

  7. I need to learn.

    I need to eat.

These are the correct forms of these sentences.

  8. I need to learn. I need to eat. To need is a verb in the infinitive form, which means that it doesn't show who is showing the action. To learn is an infinitive, too. You cannot have two conjugated verbs together, so conjugate the first, "I need" then then the second needs no conjugation, so you use, "to learn."
