English essay help! Best answer gets 10 points!?

Ok I have to write a 3 paragraph essay on a book that we just read(grover dill and the tasmanian Devil) and compare it to the movie we just saw(Christmas Story) Some of you may have heard of it others haven't.Thats fine but i need help with the ws that comes before the essay that we have to do so it can help us organize our story.

Ok I need to know what a topic sentence is and i also need to know what internal transitions are also. Thanks!!!

A topic sentence is a sentence at the start of a paragraph which basically introduces what that paragraph will be about, but without saying 'this paragraph will look at...' So for example when you are comparing the 2 texts, you might say 'another similarity between text a and text b is....'
