Is this ok? or have i just totally ruined my exams because i have done this? Please answer!

Thanks so much, Dave x.

  1. u didn't really ruin ur exam but if there is more letters than there is space teachers encourage u to start on the next line. I do that all the time and its never messed me up unless i spell a word and put the last letter of the word on the next line.

  2. Thats bad, especially for an english class. You can't hyphenate a word that's not meant to be hyphenated. Unless is a word like E-Mail, etc. You should have typed it! But, I guess it was an exam and it was due right then so that's not possible. Anyway I would just write the entire word on the next line next time. I hope this teacher knows this about you and will cut you some slack. Good Luck!

  3. Don't listen to them it's just fine

I do that all the time and get A's and A*'s

If they can't read your work then it's a problem

  4. I Had My English Paper Other Day,, And  I Ended Up Doing That Quite A Few Times.

I Dont Think It Will Lose You Any Marks, Otherwise It Probably Would Have Highlighted This On The Front Page With The Rest Of The Instructions, Or Your English Teacher Would Have Warned You.

    Dont Panic.. :)

  5. Really don't worry. Examiners can understand it and that is what it is about.

In the English exams, this might matter a bit but I really doubt it. The examiner will probably not even notice. The worst that could happen would be that you would lose 1 mark on the English paper.

But I am almost sure that it won't have made any difference.

  6. Your example would be incorrect, because you can only divide a word in that way between syllables. like this :

    be-

    cause

    or...

    En-

    glish

    ex-

    am

I hope that helped. I really don't think you have ruined your exam by doing that ( even incorrectly) unless that's is what you were being tested on. ; )

  7. its perfectly acceptable.....
