what is meant by "a sense of purpose", "to live without questioning", "the grain of universal law" "the departure of spirit from our lives" is spirit the same as soul in here orsth else?and why does it say that purposeful action is the most natural way?

There is action motivated by desire and action undertaken out of a sense of purpose.

The first type seems easier because it allows you to live without questioning and requires little self-knowledge. In fact it goes against the grain of universal law, usually leading to the departure of spirit from our lives. Purposeful action seems more complicated and obscure, but is in fact the most natural way; it is the salvation of our existence and even the source of joy. The word for this is dharma.

  2. I'm fine at English, but I don't know much about dharma.  So I'm going to be... a little bit vague, just to make sure I don't tell you something incorrect.

    In context:

"a sense of purpose" = motivated by the idea that it ought to be done

"to live without questioning" = to not examine your life and your role in a larger world; to blindly follow a dogma

"[against] the grain of universal law" = contrary to a governing force underneath everything

"the departure of spirit from our lives" = either A) loss of zeal and enthusiasm or B) loss of involvement in a mystical phenomenon

Purposeful action is the most natural way because in dharma, purpose is dictated by the universe itself, rather than by anything existing within it.
