I'm writing an essay. One of my sentence goes like this "... to attack the problems in hand..." I wonder is it "in hand" or "at hand"? Also, should I use singular or plural (i.e. hand or hands)? Thank you.

  1. at hand, singular.

    Problems is plural.

    to attack is a noun...singular.

    make sure your verb matches.

  2. "...to attack the problems at hand."

    "in hand" is incorrect.

    "hands" is incorrect.
