English Selector, Geoff Miller has said that their one day series against Australia will be ideal preparation for the World Cup. England are 1-0 up in the Ashes series, and the way they have played in the series so far reflects
their ability to play as a unit and a team. They have dominated the Ashes series so far and have shown a lot of character in their play. Apart from their first innings in Brisbane, they have managed to come on top of almost every session of the series. Even
in the Brisbane test, when Haddin and Hussey had a strong partnership for the sixth wicket, England managed to keep their nerves. After Hussey’s dismissal in the first innings, England dismissed the rest of the lower order batsmen for a low score. Their batsmen
are in top form and their bowlers also dominated the English batting in the second test match. James Anderson and Graeme Swann were the main destroyers of the Australia’s innings in the second test match, and managed a 4 wicket and 5 wicket haul respectively.
England could not be in a better position than they are in now, and if they are interested in sealing the deal against the Aussies than this seems to be the right time for it. All England has to do is to win another Ashes test
