English student wanting to get into an american college?

i am currently in the uk and i have about a year until uni, i really really want to get into a US uni but i don't know how to go about it?

You'll probably have to take the SAT or ACT. Check with the colleges you're interested in attending-- some of them like the SAT, some the ACT and many don't care. The University Language Services website (I linked it below) has a lot of info about the standardized tests you'll need to take and the application process.

First talk to your counselor and see what she recommends.

To get into schools in the U.S. you generally have to take the SAT's or ACT's (placement tests)

I know there are places all over Europe where you can take them. Make sure you start studying early for them, the better you do the better schools and scholarships you can get.

Start choosing schools you like and check out their admissions requirements and go from there.
