  1. English as a first language, a bachelor's degree, and a heartbeat.

  2. It varies from school to school.

    -Be a native English speaker

-Be TOEFL (or its equivalent) qualified OR have a bachelor's degree  --- sometimes this isn't required

-Have experience teaching --- also not always required

    Good luck!!!

  3. The two sites below have a lot of articles that can give you more information on teaching in Korea. I think you need at least a Bachelor's degree (any subject).

  4. You need a four year degree, must be a native English speaker, and need a work visa.

www.asknow.ca is a good website that has a lot of information about how to become an English teacher in South Korea.  It was what inspired me to go.  I taught there for a year and had a fantastic experience.

Good luck on your big adventure!!

  5. do a search for "DAVE'S ESL cafe " its a great site for teachers of ESL. it will open your eyes to teaching overseas. good luck. FYI, there is a section there for Korea.
