  1. I generally agree with first responder.  "Continuous" is also called perfect, as in "I am going to the store" -- present perfect tense.  "Perfect" in this sense implies something completed.  However, the usage here indicates that "continuous" implies the gerund form (thing ending with "ing"), which makes sense.  But I have not previously seen this construction so labeled.

  4. You made many mistakes.

Examples from http://www.answers.com/topic/grammatical... (check them out, don't worry it's not that hard but learning a language online is not the best way to do it)

So we have for the present tense:

Present Simple (not progressive/continuous, not perfect; simple): "I eat"

Present Progressive (progressive, not perfect): "I am eating"

Present Perfect (not progressive, perfect): "I have eaten"

Present Perfect Progressive (progressive, perfect): "I have been eating"

    ...and for the past tense:

Past Simple (not progressive/continuous, not perfect; simple): "I ate"

Past Progressive (progressive, not perfect): "I was eating"

Past Perfect (not progressive, perfect): "I had eaten"

Past Perfect Progressive (progressive, perfect): "I had been eating"

Your sentences: Present Progressive (or present continuous it's the same)

    Past Perfect

simple past / Past Progressive (continuous)

    Past Perfect Progressive

    Past Perfect / simple past

    simple cast

    Past Perfect Progressive

    simple past

    Future perfect

    Future continuous
