Enhanced CRB information

Question

hello i recently applied for an enhanced crb for a teaching job in uk.

i have no convictions or cautions. no record under list 99 (child protection list) and no record under vulnerable adult list)

i was arrested for assault last year and in the end no further action was taken against me.

whats happened is that under the local police information section they still put all the detail of the assault accusation e.g what ALLEGEDLY happened etc in great detail....

i want to know is how many years they would keep this info on the CRB and how it could be possibly be challenged?

any advice please
