  1. Study Tips.

Revise methodically and give more time to the areas in which that you feel you are less sure of yourself.

Try to cover all the aspects of the syllabus that you have been set and do not leave things to chance. Sodh's law often means that it is the area that you have overlooked that turns up in the examination.

If you find your mind wandering then take a break.

Don't drink too much cola, tea or coffee as these can overstimulate you and make you feel more anxious. Keep off alchohol altogether.

Eat little and often as this will help feed your brain.

Go for a walk. Exercise helps eliminate stress hormones and helps you feel clear headed.

If music helps you , then use some as a background, but if it affects your concentration avoid it.

Go to bed at a reasonable time et get some decent sleep.  Do not turn over the day's revision in your mind when you are  in bed,  just let it sink in while you sleep.

On the day of the examination itself.

Don't try to cram in information at the last minute - if you have planned your study you know all you need to.

Keep calm.Talk to yourself in your head - tell yourself "I can cope, I have prepared and worrying will not help".

Try to write clearly and as neatly as possible and be careful of spelling  words correctly. "eniwei" will give a bad impression, "anyway" will get you further.

Remember that whoever marks your papers will have many others to go through and will be put off by sloppy language, platitudes, and long-winded perorations that lead nowhere.

Keep to the subject set  and do not waste time on irrelevant detail.

Make your answers as clear as possible and keep your sentences reasonably short.

If you can't answer a question move on to one you can and then come back to original question at the end.

If you are feeling stress or panic, use a rescue remedy breathing exercise - breathe in slowly through your nose and then out calmly through your mouth.  Do this 4 or 5 times and, as you do, remember to relax your shoulders.

When it is all over - do not dwell on the exam - let go and have some fun. If you have done your best and prepared for the examination thoroughly, you have a clean conscience and the result is in the lap of the gods.

    Good luck!
