Enlighten my Ignorance, is Cleveland (cleve-LAND) a US State or a City ?

By the way Queensland , is an Australian State , some people think it's a SEPERATE Country to Australia, but it's NOT , It's very much a part of Australia

By you know it is a city in Ohio.  What is interest is your (Cleve-LAND)   I've always heard it pronounced clEEEEveland.  But maybe thats because we are just north of Ohio in Michigan.

There are a number of Cleveland's in the United States.  The most noteable is Cleveland, Ohio which is the largest city in the state of Ohio.  

However I could find at least 19 other communities ( some unincorporated) in the U.S.
